Integrated Iris Recognition and Temperature Measurement System
In response to growing public health requirements, a residential community in Hubei Province deployed Homsh Technology's integrated iris recognition and body temperature measurement system to enhance security while safeguarding community health.
Challenge
The community management office needed a solution that could simultaneously verify resident identity and screen for elevated body temperature at all entry points. Traditional access methods such as key cards and PINs were inadequate for contact tracing and health monitoring purposes. The system needed to be fully contactless to minimize infection risk.
Solution
Homsh deployed its D36T iris and temperature access control terminals at all community entry and exit points. The D36T combines high-precision iris recognition with an integrated infrared temperature sensor, enabling simultaneous identity verification and temperature screening in a single, contactless interaction.
Key Features
- Dual-Mode Verification: Simultaneous iris recognition and temperature measurement in under 1.5 seconds
- Contactless Operation: Fully non-contact biometric authentication eliminates shared surface contamination risks
- Temperature Alerts: Automatic alerts when body temperature exceeds configurable thresholds
- Access Logging: Complete audit trail of all entry and exit events with timestamps and temperature readings
- Cloud Management: Centralized management platform for community administrators
Results
The system has been operational across the community, processing thousands of daily verifications. It achieved a significant reduction in manual temperature checking workload while maintaining accurate identity verification. Community management can now monitor access patterns and health data through a unified dashboard, enabling rapid response to potential health concerns.
